If there is no leaf to savage, it loiters around for a while before retreating. A reinforcement group is quickly deployed to take back the contested area. On harder difficulty, it's hardly possible to win if it chooses the site directly to the south of its nest.Īfter a harvesting group has taken enough casualties, it will retreat for 60 seconds. The enemy colony randomly sends harvesting groups to two of the five harvesting sites everyday. Phorid flies swarm over harvestable plants, infesting new areas on your side of the map everyday. Green rove beetles sometimes attack your nest in small groups. Green rove beetles and spiny devil bush crickets roam the surface at night. Jumping spiders and leaf-mimic praying mantises can only be encountered during the day. They sometimes pass by your nest entrance. Trap-jaw ants traverse the forest floor in packs searching for food. Harvestmen can be encountered during any period of the day. They only cross paths on later days when the number of creatures increases.

Roaming enemies actively spawn away from the enemy colony's harvesting trails.

Green rove beetles inhabit inside your nest. You must choose either taunt or stun majors at the beginning of the mission. Other creatures are on the same side and are hostile to the ants. The enemy nest is to the north of your nest. In this mission, a young leafcutter ant colony must race against another established leafcutter colony in leaf harvesting.
